A three day Residential Training Program on “Acharya-2019” was conducted by Paavai College of Education from 02-05-2019 to 04-05-2019 at Yercaud. There were totally 80 student teachers from Paavai College of Education who attended the program. The inaugural function for the Acharya-2019 was held at 2.00 p.m on 2 may 2019, on the college premises. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions, presided over the function. The function proceeded with the inspirational speech of Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions. Mrs.Kasthuri, Dean-Faculty development and faculty members of Paavai College of Education were participated in the inaugural function Ms.Dharani Sivakumar, student teacher, Paavai College of Education, welcomed the gathering. In the presidential address, the Chairman insisted the students to respect their teacher explained the quality of good teachers Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, felicitated the gathering by her motivational speech. She wished the programme Acharya -2019 at Yercaud. After the inaugural function, the training program started by 9.00 p.m at Yercaud. Mrs.Seethal Gandhi, the National trainer, was the resource person. On the first day, “Ice Breaking session” was conducted by Mrs.Seethal Gandhi On the second day (03-05-2019) the session “Teacher a Staunched Leader” was handled by our resource person. Simultaneously, tutorials were conducted. In the evening session, a camp fire was conducted. On the third day (04-05-2019) early morning the student teachers were taken for a trekking. After the trekking, the training session was started. In this programme student teachers were trained by experienced trainers, they gained more knowledge information regarding their teaching techniques and they also learnt the attitude towards responsibility of being a teacher.In the last session, feedback was given by our student teachers who ensured the relevance of the programme. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.S.Balamurali, Principal, Paavai College of education.
