An outbound orientation program was organized titled “Beyond Boundaries” for three days (27.06.22 to 29.06.22) for our First year and Second year B.Ed., students.
The orientation program was inaugurated on 26.06.22 by Shri. CA. N.V. Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions and Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Educational Institutions. The training was conducted by Mrs. Sheetal Gandhi, International ICI Trainer, as a pilot trainer with her team members – Mrs. Swarnalatha & Mr. Dhanavel. On 28.06.22, Dr. Kasthuri Bai, retired Professor of English handled sessions for the participants.
It was a wonderful experience for the students to realize themselves and to showcase their talents. It made them think out of the box. This training program was a play way of learning through activities, which set the participants to unlearn to relearn. It focused on bringing attitudinal changes among the participants with respect to perception, identifying and believing themselves, grooming English communication and networking with people. It was a fun way of learning through performance which kindled the interest of the participants to show involvement in the learning experience.
Few adventurous activities like – glass walk, fire walk and trekking were conducted to make the participantsto realize that hurdles in life need to be faced with courage and assertiveness. Also, Zumba exercise was taught, as a recreational way of keeping oneself fit. Many activities like web formation, politics, map routing, business plan preparation etc., were conducted to kindle the students’ cognition and creativity. Camp fire was conducted as a pleasurable social experience for relaxation.
