As a part of The International Women’s Day celebration, Namakkal District Legal Services Commission, Paavai Engineering College and Tamil Nadu Center for the Defense of Human Rights jointly organized an inspirational speech at JRD Tata Stadium in Paavai College of Technology,.
Arima RD Ilango, State President, Tamil Nadu Center for the Defense of Human Rights, welcomed the gathering. Judge C. Vijay Karthik, Secretary, District Legal Services Commission, presided over the function as the special guest. In his presidential address, he spoke on the rights and protections of women, their legal framework, the functions of the Legal Services Advisory Council and legal solutions to the problems faced by women in their daily lives. Former International Director Arima K. Dhanabalan in his keynote address stated that women are strong enough to know their needs, realize their potential and take advantage of opportunities to move forward.
Shmt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, in her Women’s Day address, emphasized women to gain knowledge of the rights and laws associated with women. She added that women should prop themselves up with economic freedom. She then stated that the students should be confident and courageous to evolve as adored femininity. Shri.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai institutions, in his Women’s Day address asserted that women are those who have the ability to break through many obstacles and move forward. He asked the students to dream big and try every second to accomplish their dream come true as said by the late former dignitary Mr. ABJ Abdul Kalam. He then consented that when women are held accountable for what they say and do, they become successful.
The event was graced with the presence of a great number of leaders, secretaries and members of the Namakkal District Legal Services Commission and the Tamil Nadu Center for the Defense of Human Rights. The session was well-liked and feted by the professors and the students of Paavai Institutions.
At the end, the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the District Women’s Team Director, Mrs. S. Nathiya, followed by National Anthem.
