International Women’s Day and Women Empowerment Series XIII with a special address on “பெண்ணின் பெருந்தக்க யாவுள ” was conducted on 7th March 2020 in Anandha Arangam at 3.00 p.m. The programme commenced with the prayer song and Tamilthai Vazhthu. Ms.C.R.Priyadharsini of II B.A. English welcomed the gathering. The Chairman of Paavai Institutions honoured the chief guest with shawl and memento. In his presidential address he stated that women have the abiding strength of chastity, love, discipline, knowledge and power which is her treasure of life. He also said that when men and society praise women, everything will be a season of spring and prosperity. He further said that the elders of present generation fail to guide, counsel and teach moral values to the youth and so the responsibility of nurturing the students falls on the shoulder of the educational institutions. He asserted that Paavai teaches social values to the students by organizing such Inspirational programmes and concluded his speech asking the students to be strong and become inspiring personality. Ms. S.Karthika of II B.A. English introduced the Chief Guest. The Guest Speaker Mrs.Durga Moorthi, District Revenue Officer, Namakkal, in her speech, stated that it is blessed to be born as woman, the more blessed is one who keeps up her self-identity, virtue and chastity. She said that women now-a-days do not exemplify in higher studies due to distractions, misleading and commercialism. She then asserted that the students should dedicate to develop, exhibit excellence, distract diversions and heal the health. She finally asked the students to read a lot to gain enormous knowledge, perform multi role with brevity, self-esteem, self-respect and self-appreciation. The Correspondent of Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering. In her felicitation, she stated that women should think more to succeed and avoid sheltering in unnecessary imageries. She insisted them to create an image that they deserve and is worthy of. She also said that possessing honesty alone can make a woman win ultimately. She advised the students to have the power of making themselves as the antenna to transform their wish to realism. The programme came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms.C.F.Reshma of I B.A. English followed by the National Anthem.
