India is a Land of festivals. Every festival is celebrated with enthusiasm. It is also our culture. Among other festivals, Pongal is the harvest festival. On 11th January 2023, Paavai college of Education had conducted Pongal celebrations in a grand manner. Shri. CA. N. V. Natarajan, Chairman and Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Educational Institutions presided over the function. Director Administration, Principals of Paavai Institutions and faculty members participated in this celebration.
In the morning session, Pongal preparation was done by second year and first year students of B.Ed., and special pooja’s were conducted to express the heritage of Tamil people. In the afternoon session, various competitions like Kolam, Rangoli, and fun filing games like water filling, lemon in the spoon, and thread the needle were conducted and the winners were awarded with prizes.
