ANNUAL REPORT 2021-2022

It is with great pleasure I present the Annual Report of the activities of Paavai College of Education for the academic year 2021-2022.

The College started functioning for the current academic year on 25th November -2021. The inaugural function was chaired by the Respected Vice Principal madam, and the Kuthuvilakku was lit by the vice Principal, staff members, Students and Parents. .

As a testimony to our sincere efforts, this year also, the institution has been crowned with 100% results, which include numerous first classes with distinctions both in practical and theory examinations held in the academic year 2021-2022

One of the special features of this college is that everyday after Prayer, two students give a talk on any topic for five minutes.  Tamil and English news reading, Dhinam Oru Thirukkural, and a Proverb are given by the students in order to improve their communicative ability,

Another feature is the “Talent Search Programme” in which the Students are divided into small groups to undertake different cultural activities every week one after another to exhibit their talents. The motto for the programme is that, “NO Student is Left Behind” in the College activities.

The cultural activities enhance the confidence level of the students thereby allowing them to perform better. These activities develop the personality of the students and assist them in shaping a good career.. In order to enhance the confidence level of the students we have conducted cultural activities like dance, drama, singing and competitions like elocution and quiz  in the end of every month.

A number of other Programmes have been carried out as mentioned below.

From November 1st -2021 onwards, our II Year B.Ed., students were deputed for 80 days  in nearby 23 Government high School and Higher Secondary Schools of Tanjore, Kallakurichi, Salem and Namakkal districts for teaching Practice to improve their teaching ability as prescribed in the curriculum . They successfully carry on their training programme with the co-operation of the guide teachers and Headmasters.

On 8th March Women’s day was celebrated with Chairman Young Indians Salem chapter, Mr.Senthil Rajan, and the Chief Guest Ms. Deeksha Senguttuvan, Head, Digital transformation, Kaveri Hospital. She encouraged the students to break the internal bias, step out with confidence and dream big to be successful in their life 

She persuaded them to ignore those who daunt and deride them from their progress and emerge as laureates in the society. She also strongly recommended the women to learn the art of saying ‘NO’.  She further said that women should come forward to express their views without any hesitation as women are born to succeed.  She concluded her speech by requesting all women to be the lioness to face the future with aspiration.

Food Fest – 2022 an event that provides a common platform for our students to interact and enjoy with their faculty members” was conducted in Dr. Radhakrishnan Block on 22.04.2022 Friday at 11.30. am.  Students prepared wide varieties of foods with different tastes. The students who are all not indulged in cooking also get good obvious knowledge about wide varieties of food items and mode of preparation.

The fest made a great turnover for the younger minds in the campus.

In Yercaud, a three days faculty and students residential programme entitled Beyond Boundaries  was conducted by Seethal Gandhi and her International trainer Team from 26th June 2021 to 29th June 2019.

A one day workshop on “Beyond Boundaries”- Level II was conducted on 23.07.2022. Shri CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai Institutions and Correspondent Smt. Mangai Natarajan presided over the function. In his key note address, Chairman Sir highlighted the need of Goal setting in everyone’s life and the essential steps to be followed to achieve their goals. He also insisted on SMART work, positive thinking, and defining of time boundaries to achieve their goals. He explained about his life goal and the strenuous efforts to create the Paavai,

As a part of our academic programme, Seminars were conducted for B.Ed., students in their Core, Elective and Optional Subjects. The students themselves prepared and presented Papers on different topics assigned to them under the guidance of the Teacher educators.

We also thank the CEO, DEO of Namakkal and Salem for their continuous support in training our students in government schools of Namakkal and Salem Districts.

A good number of present batch of students have already been appointed as teachers in various schools and a few are pursuing post graduate studies. We are proud to say that 90% of the students have been appointed in government and private schools and a few run their own schools.

With the blessings of God, the Almighty, and the Blessings of the Management, the institution will definitely grow to its heights and serve the society. We thank the members of the Paavai Varam Educational Trust for their unending efforts to make this institution greater.
